The Holiday Cruise

Blurb

The Holiday Cruise CoverAs if it weren’t enough to be cheated on by her husband of ten years, Yorkshire lass Hannah Davis is losing her beauty salon business too. Luckily, her big sister is there to pick up the pieces, but Hannah is desperate to find some independence.

Impulsively, Hannah applies for a spa job…on a cruise ship! Christmas in the Caribbean, springtime in the Mediterranean, what’s not to like? But, despite being in her thirties, Hannah has never done anything on her own before, and she’s terrified.

My Review

P1060749This is the first book I’m reading of Victoria and it was the perfect book for the end of Summer. I really want to travel more in the future and I would love to go on a Cruise so this was great, because it gave me that little taste of traveling, even though it’s only in the books pages.

Hannah was such a relatable character and I would love to have a sister whom I have the kind of character Hannah has with her big sister. But… I only have a younger brother that I love very much. Nevertheless, that bit of sisterly love and connection was awesome and  made the characters sound real to me.

Working on a Cruise most bring some challenges, so it was great to follow Hannah new path in working on a cruise. And the pace of the story helped us stay glued to the book and understand the live Hannah now has.

It was a fun book that made me dream about going on this kind of adventure and just enjoy sunbathing. I totally recommend this book to everyone that wants a bit of sunshine and fun times in their cold autumn/winter days.

Cover Reveal “The Letter – Kitty’s Story”

Hello friends,

I’m here today to help out another author, this time it’s the amazing Eliza J. Scott, with the cover reveal of her new book that will be out next month, “The Letter – Kitty’s Story“. But before I let you know about the book and reveal the cover, let me tel you a little bit about Eliza.

Eliza J. Scott lives in a village in the North Yorkshire Moors with her husband, two daughters and two black Labradors. When she’s not writing, you can usually found her with her nose in a book or glued to her Kindle, or even in the garden. She also enjoy bracing walks in the countryside, rounded off with a visit to a teashop where she can indulge in another two of my favourite things: tea and cake.

[And who doesn’t love tea and cake? I can totally relate to that.]

And if you want to know more about Eliza J. Scott’s work check out her Social Media pages.

The Letter - Cover Reveal

In this cover reveal post, you will able to see the beautiful cover of this new book and learn a bit about it. So here is the blurb and the colorful and light cover:

Life is anything but peaceful in the chocolate-box pretty village of Lytell Stangdale, where life unravels, and hearts are broken. Full of heart-warming moments, this book with have you crying tears of joy, laughter and sadness.

THE LETTER_FRONT_RGB_150dpiThirty-four-year-old Kitty Bennett is trapped in a loveless marriage to criminal barrister, Dan, who’s gradually isolated her from her family and friends. Until the day she (literally) bumps into her first love, the handsome and easy-going Ollie Cartwright – someone she’s done her best to avoid for as long as she can remember. Looking into Ollie’s eyes awakens feelings for him she thought she’d buried deep years ago, and he clearly feels the spark, too. As she walks away, Kitty can’t help but wonder what might have been…

Dan senses that his marriage is on shaky ground and knows he needs to win his wife round. He turns on the charm, skilfully using their two children, Lucas and Lily, as bargaining tools. But Kitty’s older brother, Jimby, and her childhood best-friends, Molly and Violet, have decided enough is enough. For years they’ve had to watch from afar as Kitty’s been browbeaten into an unrecognisable version of herself. They vow to make her see Dan for what he really is, but their attempts are no match for his finely-honed courtroom skills and, against her better judgement, Kitty agrees to give her husband one last chance. But, all-too-soon, a series of heart-breaking events and a shocking secret throw her life into turmoil…

Will Kitty stand by Dan, or will she be brave enough to take the leap and follow her heart to Ollie?

Publication Date – 29th June 2018

Blog Tour: “The Ghost of Glendale”

Hello friends,

I was invited to be part of the blog tour of “The Ghost of Glendale” that starts tomorrow (23rd April).

The Ghost of Glendale.png

So I decided to do this post to let you guys know. Tomorrow I will be posting my review of this interesting book, and a quick read.

Here is the blurb:

At twenty-four years old, Phoebe Marcham is resigned to spinsterhood, unwilling to settle for anything less than the deep love her parents had shared. That is, until adventurer Duncan Armstrong rides into her home wood, larger than life and with laughter in his eyes and more charm in his little finger than anyone she’s ever met.

Far from ridiculing her family ghost, Duncan resolves to help solve the mystery which has left Simon Marcham a spirit in torment for two hundred years.

You can get the book on Amazon.
