Current Read: “Sincerely, Me”

Hello Friends!

My bookstagram friend Chelsea Girard published her second poetry book, “Sincerely, Me” and that’s the book I’m currently reading.

It is a book that is already touching my heart and I haven’t even got to the middle of it. I reading little bit little and enjoying every thing poem she wrote.

Blurb

41Df95Ncb+L.jpgSincerely, Me is a collection of poetry that is derived from the mind of an anxiety filled young woman who wants nothing more than to express herself in a creative way. This book is a journey through the mind as you will encounter hardships, mistakes, love and broken hearts as you read through the pages of Sincerely, Me.
This is the second book in a three part series of poetry and yet again, another story to be told. Though these pages, I hope you become empowered, loved and feel more than just a walking statue, just waiting to break free from your already crumbling structure. Build yourself up and never believe you’re anything less than the beautiful swan.

Isn’t this cover so beautiful? The previous one was amazing too, but I like this one better, it just touches my soul and it goes so well with the poetry.

Don’t forget to go give Chelsea some love.

Current Read: “The Guilt of a Sparrow”

Hello Friends!

As you may all have notice in many of my reviews in the last few weeks, I have joined Rachel, at Rachel’s Random Resources, in a lot of blog tours. Rachel is an amazing person, very hard worker, kind, friendly and an fellow book lover. Because of the blog tour she hosts, I have found many ‘new-to-me’ authors and books and I’m so glad I’m a part of this community.

Today I’m reading “The Guilt of a Sparrow“, written by Jess B. Moore, and you will be able to find a review on 8th July, this weekend. So far I’m loving the story. So I’m here to give you guys some information about this brilliant author and book.

The Guilt of a Sparrow - Dogwood

Author Bio

fullsizeoutput_b4aaJess B Moore is a writer of love stories.  When she’s not writing, she’s busy mothering her talented and stubborn children, reading obscene numbers of books, and knitting scarves she’ll likely never finish.

Jess lives in small town North Carolina with her bluegrass obsessed family.  She takes too many pictures of her cat, thinking the Internet loves him as much as she does.  She is a firm believer of swapping stories over coffee or wine, and that there should always be dark chocolate involved.

The Guilt of a Sparrow is her debut novel combining her interests in family, music, and small towns into a thoughtful tale of growing up and falling in love.  Her second book, Fierce Grace, follows similar themes in a whole new way, and will be available later in 2018.

Magnolia Porter has spent the entirety of her twenty-four years satisfying her mother’s guilt. She was the good girl to her trouble making brother, Lucian – the one left behind to hold her mother together after he died. She is an invisible girl in a small town carrying the burden of her family’s loss and pain. Maggie was nobody trying desperately to be somebody.

Cotton MacKenna is the one with the temper. Of the five MacKenna boys, he’s the one most likely to throw the first punch. Never mind all those fights were a decade ago, all in an attempt to save a sweet girl from her bullying older brother. Now, Cotton has grown up, with his own photography business, yet as the fourth in the line of MacKennas, he would only ever be known for his past. Time for a change.

Maggie and Cotton are more than the labels placed on them, put there by their families, the town, and themselves.

A meddling best friend. Bluegrass jams. Small town gossiping. Love, loss, and family ties. Learning how to be who you are outside of who you were told to be. With humor and plenty of romance, of course.

Hello friends,

I decided to write a post about the books in my TBR for this month, but I may read more than those I have planned. This month I’m planning on reading all the books that I got in exchange for a honest review. So they are all ebooks.

Jina S. Bazzar

Heir of ashes

P1050223This is my current read and hopefully I will have it finish and reviewed tomorrow night, and here is the blurb:

Roxanne Fosch had a perfectly normal life at the age of twelve. Cool, popular, pretty, smart. Her dreams of a perfect, successful and prosperous future seemed well within her grasp. By the time she was twenty-two she had become a commodity. A fugitive. She was being hunted.

As Roxanne embarks on the dangerous quest to search for half-truths about her past, she discovers she’s not just an abnormal human, but a rarity even among her Fee peers. She is hunted by scientists, keen to exploit her extraordinary abilities, as well as other beings far more dangerous whose plans for her she cannot fathom.

But is Jacob merely a mischievous scoundrel, or is there much more to this Warriner than meets the eye?

And don’t forget to check out my reviews for the other books:

She refuses to allow herself the joy of true love because her feelings are unrequited by her human boss, Jonathan Dixon. Current Reads: “Lord Hunter’s Cinderella Heiress” & “Stolen”

Hello friends,

It’s Saturday and I thought it would be a good idea to let you know what books I’m reading right now and what I’m thinking about the stories so far.

This week I’m reading two books and only a few pages a day because I have been doing other things, and it’s been a busy week at work.

Lara Temple “Lord Hunter’s Cinderella Heiress”

P1050094

This is the 1st book in the Wild Lords and Innocent Ladies trilogy.

Blurb:

Betrothed…to the wrong man!

Building a life away from her bullying family, schoolmistress Helen Tilney now needs to convince her childhood sweetheart she’s a worthy bride. Standing in her way is Lord Hunter—the man Nell has just discovered she’s betrothed to!

Hunter’s offer of marriage to Nell came out of guilt, and now seems less than appealing! So when she asks for his help to win another man, he agrees. Until their lessons in flirtation inspire a raging desire that has Hunter longing to keep Nell for himself…

I’m enjoying this book so far. It’s another Historical romance in my list of books in that genre, and all the books I have read in the genre have been different from each other, and this one is also different. I’m still trying to discover somethings about Nell, since, for me, she’s the mysterious character right now.

I’m hoping to have finish the book this weekend, and have the review done too.

You can add the book to your Goodreads TBR.

S.M. Yair-Levy “Stolen”

P1050090This is the first book in The Collectors series, and I’m so excited about this series.I got an eCopy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Blurb:

TRAPPED ON THE DARK SIDE OF LOVE

Dylan Prescott has endured a life full of disappointments, rumors, and tears. Just as she begins to relax into her admittedly boring life, she’s attacked.

As her veil of normalcy is yanked away, she finds herself the target of multiple Soul Collecting Demons, all vying to capture and dominate her. Dylan quickly realizes that she’s too naive to compete with these powerful, ancient creatures.

But why her? What’s so special about Dylan Prescott?
And how is it possible that she has fallen helplessly in love with one of them?

Just like the other book, so far, I’m enjoying reading this story. I won’t say much because I’m planning to finish the book to day and review it today too. So you will have to wait for my thoughts later tonight. But I can say that I’m not disappointed by the book.

Desperate, she accepts a position assisting Dawson Reed—the same Dawson Reed who recently stood trial for the murder of his adoptive parents. Joining him at his isolated farm seems risky, but Sadie is out of options.
