Synopsis

Life’s A Beach Cover

Sun, sea and inescapable exes…

Peach is excited to hear that her sister, Di, is getting married. Of course, she would have preferred her little sister to be engaged to someone she’s known longer than a week – and the fact that his name is Charles doesn’t bode well – but who is she to judge?! Afterall, her own love life is non-existent, and who doesn’t love a destination wedding…?

Whisked away to the gorgeous Italian coast, Peach assumes her role as chief bridesmaid and, despite her reservations about the groom, she tries to ensure everything goes to plan.

But weddings are never straightforward affairs… throw in some unexpected guests in the form of ex-boyfriends and one night stands, and soon enough there is more drama than a reality tv show.

Can Peach keep the show on the road, or might she end up in a whirlwind romance of her own…?

Escape to the stunning Italian coast with bestseller Portia MacIntosh. Perfect for fans of Sophie Ranald and Mhairi MacFarlane.

My Review

Summer time! Beach setting! Let’s go!

We are getting close to Summer, although the weather at this exact time in Portugal hasn’t been the best. But we can always get warm by traveling through a book as “Life’s a Beach” and not only enjoy a virtual trip to Italy and the beach, but also enjoy a romance in a lovely setting.

This isn’t the first book by Portia MacIntosh that I have read and I enjoyed it even more that the one I have previously read. “Life’s a Beach” had this fun and witty tone, a interesting plot with a group of characters that made me excited.

As we follow Peach (let me just say that I love that name) through this adventure during her sister Di’s wedding, we jump into an exciting rollercoaster of moments that grabbed my attention from beginning to end. The book was revelation and surprises after excitement. Honestly that’s what I felt. And following Peach as she dealt with everything just made me connect with her and wanting more.

Romance, Drama, Past and Present, Family and Friends, Excitement and Unexpected moments… An entertaining story, perfect for a summer day, and specially if you are looking for a fun time reading.

Overall, I was surprised and I enjoyed every second of the story, will reading page after page. It made me laugh, it made curious, it made me just forget real life for a second, as one would while watching a movie or an episode of a tv show.
