My Review

This is the first novel of Portia MacIntosh I have ever read and I do love a good romance that make my heart all warm and happy.

We follow Sadie in this novel, and I truly loved her. I felt like she was an old friend that I was reconnecting with. Reading about her life and the people around her, made me feel like I was watching a RomCom. With absolutely love when I’m home in a weekend and just want to relax and have fun.

This happens in part because of how the flow of the story was, how it made me laugh and just smile at the cute moments too. Plus, it was kind of visual in a way too. Which made it exciting and enjoyable.

From friendship and romance, to Christmas festivities and fun moments… This book had me going from the very beginning with Sadie’s personality, and it kept me interested until the end because of each moment share with the characters.

I absolutely loved the concept of the story and loved the mystery around the ‘friend and potential love interest that Sadie never met”. Since I read the synopsis I wonder what was going on, and when I was pleasantly surprise by the plot and the development of the romance and the characters.

Overall, it was such a good book, it’s just the perfect about of sweetness and fun scenes. It was the perfect story for a relaxing day at home.
