And my final review of the night is here! Get ready for an emotional book.

“The Last Charm“, written by Ella Allbright, is a Women’s Fiction novel, published August 21th 2020 by One More Chapter, HarperCollins.

About the Author

A self-confessed reading addict, Ella Allbright writes commercial women’s fiction set in her beautiful home county of Dorset. Her first novel in this genre, The Charm Bracelet will be published in August 2020 by One More Chapter, an imprint of HarperCollins, and she’s currently hard at work on her next book. Ella is represented by agent Hattie Grünewald at The Blair Partnership, who represent J.K. Rowling.

Ella also writes as Nikki Moore, the author of the popular #LoveLondon romance series. A number of the novellas featured in the Top 100 short story charts on Kobo and the Top 20 in the Amazon UK bestsellers Holiday chart, and in 2018 the collection was released in Italy. Her first published work was the short story A Night to Remember in the best selling Mills & Boon / RNA anthology Truly, Madly, Deeply. Her debut romance Crazy, Undercover, Love was shortlisted for the RNA Joan Hessayon Award 2015.

When not writing or reading, she can be found working in her HR day job, walking the family’s cute beagle puppy or watching a Netflix series!

My Review

When I read the synopsis of this story I was intrigued by the concept and was curious to know more about Leila and her life. And I jumped to the opportunity to read it and I don’t regret it.

As we follow Leila and following her story and connecting the dots as I was reading. It was very interesting. The characters had this rawness to them, and I loved it.

I liked that, although I had mix feelings about certain things Leila was doing, I still wanted to learn her story and to see her growth. For me that’s life. Sometimes we don’t click with certain people and it take us a couple of years to see their growth and how we actually have things in common.

It definitely was an emotional story. One that I may need to reread in the future with different eyes and a new perspective. I feel that there are still some things I need to process and some things I need to revisit. And that’s an amazing thing! Not a lot of books make me immediately plan to reread them.

Overall, I liked it a lot. I love to see the growth and the emotion in the characters and the story. I love that it made me think about life and everything that happens, all that we may experience depending on several factors. A lovely and emotional story.
