My Review

Historical Romance is one of my favourite genre, and I have had the pleasure to read Catherine Tinley’s book before, so I was just a bundle of join when I saw that she had a new series coming up, so being able to read her book made me so happy. And… Oh my… What a great beginning of a series.

The Earl’s Runaway Governess” was so much fun and exciting,  full of romance, some mystery and action, and definitely amazing characters that make the storyline so amazing.

In this book we get to meet Marianne Grant and Ash, Earl of Kingswood, and we get to uncover lots of information about their lives, past and present. We see their points of view and their relationship developing. We get to see the attraction, the compassion, the vivid descriptions that make everything so perfectly clear in my mind…

I truly loved the characters because they gave the story some added reality and I love being taken back into the past and live a historical romance with the characters has my guides. Marianne and Ash were such an amazing pair. I loved the moments they had together and I felt connected with Marianne the most, maybe because she had to keep a lot of things in secret while still making the right decisions and helping out the Kingswood family.

Also, I loved the plot, and although I haven’t read many historical romances with governess in them I was curious about that trope (the all lord and governess romance), and I loved how the author spiced up her novel with the descriptions, the interactions, the family relationship, the mystery and of course the romance.

Overall, I loved this novel. And I know I have used the word “love” a lot in this review, but I’m being honest, this was a five stars book so “love” is the perfect word to use. That been said, I highly recommend this book. I want you guys to experience this book to the fullest, so… if you love historical romances with romance, drama, twists and turns, mystery, amazing characters that will keep you intrigued, not only about them but also about what’s going on, and vivid descriptions that will keep you mind entertain and pull you into a journey… this is the book for you.

  1. Beautiful review for a beautiful story. If you love something you need to let it be known don’t worry about using love too much, a lot of love is a great thing!
