Hello Friends!

Today was a crazy day. I had a party and just got home a couple of minutes ago, so I had to finish up the reviews I had planned so I could post them. So, sorry to everyone that was waiting for my reviews today.

The first review is of Emily Harvale‘s new book “Return to Lily Pond Lane“, which is part of a series I have reviewed here and you guys know I loved that series.

I want to thank Rachel, at Rachel’s Random Resources, and Emily for the eCopy of this book and for allowing me to join in the fun and by being a part of the blog tour with my honest review of the book.

Synopsis

return to lilypl finalLife couldn’t be better for Mia and her friends in Little Pondale – until tragedy strikes…

Mia Ward is on cloud nine after a magical Christmas and New Year and she isn’t the only one. Everyone on Lily Pond Lane seems to be living in blissful harmony. Until tragedy strikes… not once, but twice. And as Hettie Turner points out: ‘Bad things always come in threes.’

Whilst the other residents of Little Pondale are wondering what might happen next, Mia is busy worrying about her friends and trying to help them with their grief. But she needs to be careful. Just when she thought she had everything, there’s a very real chance she might lose the only thing she truly wants.

My Review

This isn’t the first book by Emily Harvale that I’ve read, and it won’t be the last. Reading this book was like coming back home after a long trip around the world. That’s because I have been following this series and I feel like I’m part of that small town and am friends with all the characters. That been said, you can imagine why I was so excited to be a part of this new journey by reading the book.

As we get re-acquainted with all the characters in the series, and as we have fun seeing their interaction and romance blooming, we go through the story excited for the next page because it leave us curious about what’s going on and all the ups and downs.

The author’s writing style and voice makes us connect with what we are reading. From the dialogues to all the small town feel to the plot and storytelling. All the elements that make me love this novel are what really makes me connect with the village and the characters.

The sense of community is also evident reason why I feel like I’m coming home. I live in a small town, close to other small towns, a area where everyone know everyone’s grandma, parents or siblings. Because of my personal experience this all series ends up being kind of personal too. And I love it all.

By now you may realize that I’m not being very specific about this book and that’s because I want you guys to check all the books in this series. So yeah, it was a enjoyable, fun and quick read that gives us a new chapter in the lives of the inhabitants of this awesome community.

Overall, I loved it and I can’t wait to read more and more and see where the author will continue to take us and what other adventures she’s going to put the characters through.
