“Daisy” Review

Hello Friends!

I hope you are all doing well. It’s been some crazy days and I’m still trying to figure out my new schedule. Work is fun, but tiring. But it will get better.

Today I bring you two reviews. And it’s from authors whose books I have read before so I’m excited to share it. I will be adding photos this weekend when I get to do the photo shoot, so stay tune for that update.

Daisy“, written by Karen Botha, is a Urban Romance published on 15th October 2018 and it’s the first book in the LOVE series. I have read another book of Karen’s and review it, so you can check it out here: “Buckle Up”.

I want to thank Rachel, at Rachel’s Random Resources, and Karen for the eCopy of this book and for allowing me to join in the fun and by being a part of the blog tour with my honest review of the book.

Daisy - Try 2

Blurb

1_eBook_DAISYIt may take a criminal mind to be a savvy business woman.

If so, Daisy is set and driven to succeed. But to hold on to what she’s earned, she must live between black and white. She must spend her life in the gray.

That makes it difficult for a woman to know who she’s dealing with, in business and in bed.

Idris made it his business to know hers, leaving no skeletons undiscovered. When the two meet, sparks fly and sexual tension ignites. Passion, lust, and desire come before sensible decision making.

Has Daisy gotten involved with the wrong person this time?

Can this gorgeous man be trusted, or is it him that needs to beware?

Daisy is a mixed race urban romance where the road to true love is anything but easy.

My Review

P1070040This is the beginning of a new series, and like the previous book I read of this author, it also have that touch of sexiness in it and that was quite entertaining. It was a fun story to read that took me on a journey to Daisy’s life, and I was not disappointed by it and I’m a fan of Karen’s writing style.

Daisy isn’t just the title of the book, but also the main character. She’s portrayed as a confident and determined business woman. Overall, there were some character development, but the thing I really liked about the characters was that they were intriguing and complex, and definitely not black and white, good and evil kind of characters.

P1070115The plot was also interesting, it had twists and turns, suspense and mystery, romance and sexual tension, and all of that gave the book a good tone that left me focus on each page until the very end. It was a refreshing book with a good amount of details that make us get involve in the story and relate to the characters in some way.

Overall , and since I don’t want to tell you much about the storyline, let me just say that it was a good start and a good book. It touched various subjects, from romance to sex, from corruption to murder, from good, bad and everything in between, and it all had a group of characters that had strong personalities and ideas in mind. So, yes, it was mysterious, sexy, dark and edgy.
