I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday. Next Tuesday I will be on a plane going to France, so I have been doing some last-minute preparations, we have our bags ready and I just need to take care of grandma’s medication, and hopefully tomorrow I don’t go crazy rechecking things. So which me luck for today and tomorrow…
Meanwhile, I will leave you guys with the lovely review of “Hunter’s Revenge“, written by Val Penny. The second book in series, released today, and you can check out my review of book one here: “Hunter’s Chase” Review.
Congratulation Val for this new release!

Hunter by name – Hunter by nature: DI Hunter Wilson will not rest until his friend’s death is revenged.
DI Hunter Wilson is called to the scene of a murder. He is shocked to find the victim is his friend and colleague, George Reinbold. Who would want to harm the quiet, old man? Why was a book worth £23,000 delivered to him that morning? Why is the security in George’s home so intense? Hunter must investigate his friend’s past as well as the present to identify the killer and identify George’s killer. Hunter also finds a new supply of cocaine from Peru flooding HMP Edinburgh and the city. The courier leads Hunter to the criminal gang but Hunter requires the help of his nemesis, the former Chief Constable, Sir Peter Myerscough and local gangster Ian Thomson to make his case. Hunter’s perseverance and patience are put to the test time after time in this taught crime thriller.

This is the second book in the series and I loved that we got to know DI Hunter a bit better. It’s always fun to see how the characters develop from book to book, especially when it’s the same main character that we are following in the series. But I don’t want to give out any spoilers or talk about the specifics of the this book because you guys should go read both books.
It was another great book with a strong opening plot and as the storyline keep going and unfolding there were twists and turns that left us hanging on the drama, action and all the adrenaline while staying at the edge of our seats. And that meant for me that this was another amazing mystery book and that once again Val Penny amazed me with all the descriptions, the plot, the touch of humor, drama, suspense that happened in this murder mystery.
I said it before and I will say it again: This is the kind of book that would be awesome to see in a TV screen. I was glued to my phone’s screen, trying to figure things out. And the sharpness of the characters and the connections and interactions between the characters in the first book and the ones we got to meet in this novel… they made the book going up a step and I enjoyed as much, if now more than “Hunter’s Chase”.
